Two and a half years prior to this, I had lost a job due to downsizing of a large multi-national insurance broker and a year and a half prior to that, I had a business failure from a supplier going bankrupt and I also lost my dad who was my business partner too due to a sudden heart attack.
But through those other events, I had learned some very important lessons that proved very valuable to me as a leader, a dad and a husband. Two lessons I learned relate to navigating change and perseverance. Because so many things were changing for me during this time in my life, I learned how to press into those changes.
